The mSATA(Mini or Micro-SATA) is a type of SATA that connects PC to a storage device at a quick speed. While using an SSD of small spec, the storage capacity can be maintained with the recent innovative technology, through which storage devices can be used in smaller and thinner mobile equipments and notebooks. There are cases when mSata SSD is used as the basic hard drive, however, mSATA is used together with existing hard drives on most PCs.
